HEY! I’M ESE A. O’DIAH
As I grew into the man I am today, I had the opportunity to live across the United States and around the world. Those experiences allowed me to see life through the eyes of an outsider learning different cultures, values, and ways of living. From that perspective, I came to understand what many Americans took for granted, and what so many people across the world are still fighting for. It deepened my gratitude for this country and for the freedoms that come with being an American.
The freedom and opportunity available in the United States are unmatched anywhere in the world. But too often, our government operates in the shadows relying on limited transparency and public confusion about how the system actually works. That disconnect has real consequences for everyday Americans.
When I moved to Minnesota after the COVID pandemic, I saw a state that was beautiful, clean, and safe. A place where families could thrive and children could grow without fear. But over the past three years, my eyes have been opened. What I’ve seen has been deeply disappointing, not just to me, but to many Minnesotans.
Minnesota is no longer as safe as it once was. Crime and fraud have increased. Neighborhoods that were once clean and welcoming are now littered and neglected. Gun violence, drugs, and human trafficking have become more visible and more troubling. Parents worry about their children in ways they never had to before.
Yet our politicians continue to make the same promises election after election, promises to fix these problems once they are re-elected. Empty promises, year after year. Meanwhile, hardworking Minnesotans are living paycheck to paycheck, struggling while being told to wait just a little longer.
I believe enough is enough.
It’s Time We Took Back Our State
Ese A. O’Diah is running as an independent for Governor of Minnesota because too many Minnesotans are doing everything right, working hard, paying their taxes, and raising their families. Yet we still feel squeezed by rising costs and systems that no longer respond to them.
“Minnesota does not have a people problem. It has a leadership
and accountability problem.”
Ese A. O’Diah is running as an Independent because Minnesota’s challenges cannot be solved by party politics alone. When leadership is tied to party agendas, voters lose leverage and accountability weakens. An independent governor answers directly to the people, not to party leadership, donors, or national politics.
By electing an independent governor, Minnesotans gain real leverage.
- Leverage to demand results.
- Leverage to insist on accountability.
- Leverage to require that policies work in practice not just in theory.
Ese believes government must be clear in purpose, disciplined in spending, and transparent in outcomes. I support predictable and fair taxes, education that prepares students for real life, public safety policies that protect communities while enforcing accountability, and government programs that earn continued funding by delivering measurable results.
His leadership philosophy is grounded in responsibility, fairness, and real world impact not ideology. As Governor, Ese O’Diah will set clear expectations, enforce standards, and govern with the understanding that public trust must be earned and maintained.
This campaign is about restoring confidence that Minnesota government can work again for the people who fund it, rely on it, and deserve better from it.
MY NAME IS ESE A. O’DIAH AND I WANT TO BE YOUR NEXT GOVERNOR.
WHY INDEPENDENT LEADERSHIP MATTERS
Minnesota works best when leadership answers directly to the people,
not to party leadership, national agendas, or special interests.
Independent leadership restores balance, accountability, and leverage to voters.
More Leverage For Minnesotans
When a governor is not bound by a party platform, Minnesotans gain real leverage. An independent governor can evaluate each issue on its merits and demand that policies deliver results before they are expanded or funded.
Results Over Party Politics
Independent leadership allows decisions to be guided by evidence, outcomes, and common sense not partisan pressure. What works stays. What fails gets fixed or ended.
Accountability Without Excuses
Party-driven leadership often shifts blame. Independent leadership accepts responsibility. Programs must meet clear standards, budgets must be justified, and outcomes must be transparent.
A Governor for the Entire State
An independent governor represents every Minnesotan, regardless of party affiliation. That means listening to urban and rural communities, workers and business owners, families and seniors without favoritism.
Stronger Negotiating Power
Independent leadership strengthens Minnesota’s position in negotiations with the legislature. Without party obligations, an independent governor can insist on balanced solutions and refuse policies that do not serve the public interest.
